On 13th October I held a fundraising auction evening and raffle at the Princes Hall in Aldershot.
I had spent the previous 4 months trying to organise this whilst simultaneously still undertake my full time job and, I won’t lie, it was exhausting!
However, all the planning, stress and worry was worth it and the evening was a great success. I am so lucky to have so many wonderful friends and family members who helped to raise a staggering £6,260 towards my fundraising total. I’m so unbelievably grateful for everyone’s generosity.
I need to emphasise that I could not have undertaken the event without the generosity of so many local business who kindly donated so many items. So, I want to share my heartfelt thanks to them for also helping to make the night as successful as it was.
The evening was also a very emotional occasion for me as I was fortunate enough to, once again, be able to utilise the Re-Walk device for a short period of time to show all those attending what this incredible technology can do and exactly what it means to me.
You can see a clip of me using the device in the event, below.
Time to get planning some more events….watch this space!
